Seen on the Daily Illuminator: David Morgan-Mar's Intelligent Design Sort
Posted here because I'm reasonably sure it'll cause some discussion. (Let me start by saying I appreciate the humour in the webpage...)

Hmm, the song from this AMV: www.animemusicvideos.org/...hp?v=96464
has been stuck in my head for a bit now.
I was thinking as a potential power it could erase the knowledge weather the others in the area of effect are friend or foe. The trick is that it is always cenetere don Doug, so it's rarely usefull. Still if you have then need to reset the relations between a set of people this would be the song to do it. Now if only it could stretch to cover the entire middle east.
Here are the lyrics:
Is it too late
Nothing to salvage
You look away
Clear all the damage
The meaning to
All words of love
Has disappeared
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe
Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know
The promises
Hollow concessions
And innocent show of affection
I touch your hand
A hologram
Are you still there
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe
Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know
Is it too late
Nothing to salvage
You look away
Clear all the damage
The meaning to
All words of love
Has disappeared
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe
Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know
E: "Did they... did they just endorse the combination of the JSDF and US Army by showing them as two lesbian lolicons moving in together and holding hands and talking about how 'intimate' they were?"
B: "Have you forgotten so soon? They're phasing out Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

From the sampler page:
The Spider: Robot Titans of Gotham
Two complete novels in one volume of the adventures of the mysterious masked crime fighter known as The Spider, hunted by the underworld and the police alike. In one, the Spider battles an army of giant robots that has New York City under siegea storyline so fraught with action and peril, that the very creators of Superman had borrowed it for one of the Man of Steel's comic strip adventures. It also was the inspiration for the major motion picture, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. In the second novel, the spider battles a criminal mastermind who threatens the entire northeast with thousands of poison-fanged vampire bats unless his terms are met. Can even the Spider-hunted by the law as never before after faked evidence has branded him as the master of the killer bats-unmask the identity of the Vampire King before thousands die horribly?

As I understand it, due to server limitations, the absolute maximum speed in the game is around 80 MPH. And if I remember correctly, you can hit this without six-slotting Superspeed. But that's all I think I know here.
Might anyone know the most efficient means of slotting to achieve maximum velocity?
Thanks,

Oh, yeah, right -- one other thing. Eva just made 37, and exhausted her nest egg of 2.1 million+ influence buying L40 SOs... but was unable to finish the job. Now back a while ago, when the influence-prestige tradeoff kicked in for Eva, I kept her in SG mode when folks promised to throw Infl her way. Well, the time has come for me to beg for that Infl... (Or some L37-L40 invented double-headed enhancements, now that I think of it -- anything that includes end reduction in it.)
Whatever happens, thanks.

Would anyone be interested/available to work up a team for the Manticore TF on Virtue? I want to send Evangelia off on that one next, but I don't particularly feel like standing around next to him waiting to see if one forms, either spontaneously or from Eva's plaintive pleas to the ether.
On a related topic, is anyone going to be playing their L50 char(s) any time soon? I'm still hunting False Nemeses -- I'm about halfway to the badge for them -- but I haven't seen anyone I could ask to SK me for a while.

So I just finally got my hands on disk one of the Funimation dub of Mahou Sensei Negima, and watched about an episode and a half last night (after which Peggy fell asleep). I was quite pleasantly surprised. I've heard all manner of complaints about Funimation, but based on what I saw, they've gone quite a good job here. The voice cast is all quite good -- they've got a few familiar names from ADV, such as Monica Rial and Luci Christian, who of course are always good, but the folks I don't know also turned in very good performances.
And my hat's off to the folks who wrote the dub script. Whoever they were, they appear to have enjoyed themselves while translating the spirit of much of the dialog without using the exact words -- the trash-talk between Ayaka and Asuna in the first episode, for instance, is nothing like I remember seeing in the fansubs, but works beautifully.
Of course, I'm basing all this praise on 45 minutes' watching -- I could get ambushed by a sudden drop of quality later in the series. But I was just so impressed with what I've seen already that I had to tell folks.
