Checking in - I'm okay, but not allowed out of the building (presumably until after they catch the remaining terrorists).

Can a proposal for real-life Rocket Girls be far behind?

The Register: MARS NEEDS WOMEN, claims NASA pretendnaut: They are light, eat less

Quote:“During one week, the most metabolically active male burned an average of 3,450 calories per day, while the least metabolically active female expended 1,475 calories per day. It was rare for a woman on crew to burn 2,000 calories in a day, and common for male crew members to exceed 3,000,” Greene said.

That of course means that the same number of female crew members would need far less food to survive than men, which would bring the weight of the launch vehicle down and thereby save money on both food and fuel. On top of that, women are generally smaller and lighter anyway, further reducing blast-off weight.
Make them teenaged girls and you've got the light-novel/anime series mentioned in the subject line...

  The Flash

If you're not watching The Flash tv show you're missing out on some rad as hell super heroics.

Also you should watch Arrow.

That is all.

Do you make 3D art with Poser, DS, Blender, or other programs? Do you want an excuse to render some pictures?
Posted by: robkelk - 10-18-2014, 06:56 PM - Forum: General Chatter - No Replies

I need some renders of freebies for the http://poserdazfreebies.orain.org/wiki/Main_Page]freebie wiki... The list is growing faster than I can make spot images, and (because I only use Daz Studio) there are some things I can't render at all.

I don't need anything fancy, just something to show off the items. An example of the sort of thing I'm making is this image of Aiko 3, wearing Sumire Hair and the Aiko 3 Star Trek Dress Retro Skirt, in a pose from The Action Pose Project (thus letting me use it on four pages): %[link=http://poserdazfreebies.orain.org/wiki/File:Aiko3.png]http://poserdazfreebies.orain.org/wiki/File:Aiko3.png]

I can't pay for this. The images will be going onto a wiki that offers its content under a CC-BY/SA license.

Assuming you still want to help, here's the list of freebies (and a few paid items that have associated freebies) that need images, and the image-creation guidelines:

Thanks, if only for reading...

  Deathwish now available in PDF
Posted by: Mamorien - 10-18-2014, 03:00 AM - Forum: IST/Supers - Replies (1)

http://www.warehouse23.com/products/gur ... -deathwish

Not Bob's own work, obvs, and it needs a few adjustments to be compatible with Krypton-1 as already and subsequently established, but we know there's at least a version of Deathwish in the IST world. At least, Mark Johnson thought so, given that he had Stan Andrews accepting his role-model status as an alternative to Chainsaw Records' stars (p.ST39). I've actually had some thoughts on the adjustments needed, if anyone's interested.

Now all we need them to do is a PDF reissue of IST Kingston. I would buy the hell out of it.

Now why did I buy these games again?

  Budget Gaming PC
Posted by: ECSNorway - 10-17-2014, 12:10 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (1)

Looking to put something together on a budget, to keep up with current MMOs and get ready for City of Titans and/or the rumored CoH re-release.
I'm looking at this as a base (mobo + CPU)http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDeal ... bo.1912659
I would then of course need a SATA HDD (no big problem there), RAM, and a video card. Recommendations on video card (under $200, please) are welcome.
