| English Choral Music from Rebuild of Evangelion |

Ok, I've just discovered several clips of the new Evangelion movies 1.11 You are (not) Alone and 2.22 You can (not) Advance. A full blown fanboy gobsmacked rant is forthcoming on how impressed I am with what I've seen so far, but that's not the purpose of this post.
I've also discovered several uploads of the soundtracks of the two films. And one striking thing is - there are choral parts that in any English film would normally be in Latin. But here they used English!!
I think Doug's talent twigs off of any music sung and with instrumental accompaniment. So here are some links with Lyrics.
KEEP YOUR HEAD ABOVE THE MAYHEM
In the battle of the bravest souls, over evil shall the good prevail,
If the universe is crashing down, heed the chaos and then drown it out,
Showing flashes of bravado, in a torrent of destruction, keep your head
above the mayhem;? clarity will be your weapon as the blinded falter and die.
It's a very simple chorus. But it repeats a couple of times and the track itself is only 2:30 long. Serious tactical insight/combat boost? It doesn't last long, so it better be for something he can get done quick.
IN MY SPIRIT
In my spirit lies my faith
Stronger than love and with me it will be for always
Not much there. But it is a sung part. Repeated several times. Not sure if that qualifies enough to trigger anything. And - not sure WHAT it would trigger, but just throwing it in.
FATE
What will the future hold
How will I be rewarded
Have I the right to riches
In a world where there are no prizes
Who makes? the clock tick by
When will my fate be ready
Do I get prior warning
Am I told? Are there no surprises
I have to count my blessings
I have to learn my lessons
My fate is in the balance
I must go on believing
Again - not suggesting any effect by my own opinion. Just throwing it in.
There are more vocal bits to the soundtrack. But even though Anno is "on his meds" they are still typically disturbing/creepy. Well even more disturbing, creepy, or used in INAPPROPRIATE scenes than the ones above. The above is pretty much used as fight/battle music.
(The child singing "let's be friends" while the dummy plug controlled Eva-01 dismembers Bardiel/Eva-03 is REALLY FUCKING CREEPY/SAD)

"Drunkard's Walk Forums Wrote:Chapter 7 of Drunkard's Walk V is now at 89 Kb.
Chapter 1 of Drunkard's Walk XIII is complete and in polish edit at 128 Kb.
Chapter 2 of Drunkard's Walk XIII is now at 16Kb.
It's good to see that you've gotten back to writing, Bob (and Helen too). Any idea when we can expect the first chapter of Glory Hound?

October 13, 2008 --Wallace Webster Senatorial Campaign Headquarters, Hanover, NH
"We've got to do something, Barry," Wallace Webster said, rubbing a hand through his silvering crew cut. "We just barely beat Sununu in the Primary and Shaheen is creaming us in the polls."
"What can we do, Wally?" Barry Dulac, his campaign manager, asked. "She seems to have us beat on policy and Sununu wasted all the dirt on her in the Primary." The weedy little man went into deep thought and idly refreshed his web browser. And in a flash of news server serendipity, he had it. "What if we had some smoke and mirrors issue that Shaheen seems weak on? Like that nut in Nashua with the Handwaved Big rig?"
"Scare tactics?" Webster mused. A slow grin spread across his face. "I think we can do that, and I think I know just the target."
October 13, 2008 --Private Residence, Lebanon, NH
Eljay stepped back from his 2004 Neon after six hours' work applying Handwavium to every surface and wiped sweat from his brow. The goop seemed to be working as intended, since the scrape on the side from when his mother had sideswiped a granite underpass was smoothing out and matching the silvery sheen of the rest of the car as he watched. He looked at the bucket and was glad to notice he still had enough to try some of the other ideas he'd heard about on the internet. He smiled as he turned off the CD boom box that had played snippets of scores from Star Trek, Star Wars, The Fifth Element and Back to the Future. He closed the bucket very firmly, sealed it as best he could, and put it in his trunk.
"Well, Nene," he said conversationally to his car, "tomorrow we find out just how well things took." He patted the fender affectionately and stripped off his safety gear before going inside for a well-deserved session playing City of Heroes.

them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

You'll never get that taste, out of your mouth
You'll never get the paw prints, out of the hen house now
And you can't go back, same way you came
Round all the pieces up, but they just dont fit the same
White knuckles
Maybe it's not so bad
So let your hair down now
White knuckles
Yeah maybe it's not so bad
Aww go ahead and let it down
So come and let it all out, let it bleed
Did you get what you want? Did you get what you need?
Behind the lines, behind the walls
Tell me what's the bet you made, was it that bad after all?
White knuckles
Yeah maybe it's not so bad
So let your hair down now
White knuckles
Aww maybe it's not so bad
Just let it all come down now
So just have fun, it's far enough
Everybody needs to sleep at night, everybody needs a crutch
But couldn't good, be good enough?
Cause nothin' ever doesn't change but nothin' changes much
Yeah, maybe it's not so bad
So let your hair down now
White knuckles
Aww maybe it's not so bad
Just let it all come down now
Yeah maybe it's not so bad
Just let your hair come down now
Oh maybe it's not so bad
Just let it all come down
Bob, when I saw the video you posted, I thought of this as a song that makes a "rope" of braided hair grow from someone's head, a la Rapunzel. It will grow as long as the song plays so just stop the song at the desired length and cut the hair off the head. Alternatively you could just have a coil appear that gets longer the more the song is played. With a four minute song, if you have the hair grow at one foot per second you could have a rope over two hundred feet long. I don't remember if you've ever stated the minimum amount a song needs to be played in order for Doug's talent to recognize and activate but that would determine the maximum length.

I haven't been too public with it or anything, but after 8 years in the Army, I've ETSed, and back to college, for my senior year in Comp Sci athe the same school I went to before I enlisted.
And, somehow, I got myself involved in preparing to be a fitness instructor along the way. "I need to find one more class to be full time. Group Fitness Instr? That'll work, and maybe keep me in shape."
