I decided to spin this thread off, to be kind to others ;P
I was thinking about how to introduce Hit-Girl, and quickly realized that she needs to establish her "Holy Shit Quotient" early. I can't imagine anything better than single-handedly taking on a group of youma (since Zeke took on one). Drawing a bit of inspiration from the movie, I had a scene polayed through my head the battlefield being clouded up by something and our heroes coming by the youma one by one, their defeated crumbling forms, until eventually they find Hit-Girl taking out the last couple in a particularly (over-the-top) gruesome fashion.
In short, I'm thinking that whomever sees the carnage (with the possible exception of Sousuke) has to at least think 'holy shit' upon seeing the wreckage.

Here's the big list of FenWiki stubs that anyone can flesh out. You don't need to wait for me to pick one for the FenWiki DeStub Project...
(Edit: snipped because it's out-of-date - see below for more current list)

I was just thinking... what if there's a ship that goes out into interstellar space with big freaking antennae and lots of amps and signal processors and whatnot, intercepting, cleaning up and saving old broadcasts -- like the lost Dr. Who episodes, and first run Trek and anything else that catches their fancy. There'd be a pretty good market for that stuff, not just in Fenspace but in the Danelaw...

I stumbled across this by way of some fanart someone had drawn that turned up in a Google image search on a totally unrelated topic, and have just surfaced for air a day or so later, having ignored most bodily functions and other such inconsequentialities to read this thing.
The blurb:
Quote:Jack Baker is an engineer in a world where magic is an everyday
occurrence. Clare Fields is an expatriate from a country that has no
contact with the outside world. Ellis Graveworthy is a famous novelist
and a spy. Purva de la Fitte is a pirate princess with a sensible soul.
Join them in a steampunk adventure spanning three continents in search
of the answer to the puzzle of Australia -- The Dead Isle.

I've just gone looking through the Stub pages. Many of them are either quick writeups of background elements we've never used in-story, or are writeups of particular people's characters, locations, or ships. I've de-stubbed the 37 "background elements" pages.
Removing from the remaining list the 67 pages that particular people really should be fleshing out because they're about their story elements (people, places, or things), that leaves us with 92 stubs. Roll a d100 and re-roll anything above 92 ... 56 - Kyon. No, I'm not re-opening that can of worms; re-roll. 76 - Solomon Space Agency. Blackaeronaut and I are supposed to work on that one, so it's no fair pushing the job off onto other folks; re-roll. 48 - Independent Faction, a Major Faction. The description we've got there is more than good enough for a Minor Faction, but this is one of the Big Six Factions, so it's a bit lacking. Besides, they're probably running Serenity-Con, so we really should know more about them. Have at it, folks.

}}
The smallest of the one-fandom major factions, the Jossies are few in number but deeply devoted to their cause. In true emulation of their icons they’ve set up shop in the Jovian system, with plenty of moons to work with.
Broad brush painting gives us a group of people who are, at least technically, libertarians; their greatest desire as a person is “leave me alone, man.”
In Fenspace, there’s a funadmental schism in the Browncoats, leaving us with three subfactions. They’re not named or recognized as units, but they do tend more to their own.
The first group is the more militant side of the Browncoats. These are the Captain Mals of Fenspace, tending towards swashbuckling and gallantry. The horrible interpersonal relationship skills are not mandatory.
The second subspecies of Browncoat are the spiritualists, those who identify more with Book and (not surprisingly) River. Some of their members have been experimenting with mental augmentation, with varying results.
The remaining Browncoats are not so easily distinguished. They’re the “rank and file,” the people who run shops and ship freight, working at building a new world.
