  Arc 59881: World's Strongest
Posted by: OpMegs - 04-14-2009, 09:54 AM - Forum: Mission Design - Replies (4)

Also known, unfortunately not officially, as the "Ultimate Curbstomp of Ultimate Destiny".

Fight alongside hero and villian alike to escape the evil alien grasp of the Collector!

This maze is very dark and contains multiple rescuable heroes and villians. You may be eaten by a Baphomet.

Spoor, fanfic and pro sf author and Dragonball otaku.

Short version: the trailers deliberately lied and it's a lot more like canon!Dragonball than we'd been led to believe.

I may actually watch this now...

  A couple more songs
Posted by: Norgarth - 04-14-2009, 07:27 AM - Forum: The Game Everyone Loves To Play - Replies (1)

This one seems like an obvious Gatesong

Supertramp "Take the Long Way home"

So you think you're a Romeo

playing a part in a picture-show

Take the long way home

Take the long way home

'Cus you're the joke of the neighborhood

Why should you care if you're feeling good

Take the long way home

Take the long way home

But there are times that you feel you're part of the scenery

aaaall the greenery is comin' down, boy

And then your wife seems to think you're part of the

furniture ,ooohhh it's peculiar, she used to be so nice.

When lonely days turn to lonely nights

you take a trip to the city lights

And take the long way home

Take the long way home

You never see what you want to see

Forever playing to the gallery

You take the long way home

Take the long way home

And when you're up on the stage, it's so unbelievable,

oooohhh, unforgettable, how they adore you,

But then your wife seems to think you're losing your sanity,

oh, calamity, is there no way out?

ooohh, Yea!!

Does it feel that your life's become a catastrophe?

Oooohh, it has to be for you to grow, boy.

When you look through the years and see what you could

have been oh, what might have been,

if you'd had more time.

So, when the day comes to settle down,

Who's to blame if you're not around?

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

Long way home..

Long way home..

Long way home..

The wrong questions with the wrong replies

With the wrong scum

Pissing out the wrong energy

Using all the wrong lines

With the wrong intensity

I was on the wrong page of the wrong book

With the wrong rendition of the wrong hook

Made the wrong move, every wrong night

With the wrong tune played till it sounded right yeah

Arc #42935: A Series of Unfortunate Malfunctions
Posted by: Sofaspud - 04-14-2009, 06:24 AM - Forum: Mission Design - Replies (7)

Arc Name: A Series of Unfortunate Malfunctions

Arc ID: 42935

Morality: Heroic

Creator: @Sofaspud

Difficulty Level: Moderate - Difficult

Synopsis: Perhaps it's not the smartest idea to work on new robot designs under the influence of caffeine, sugar, and all-too-little
sleep. And the worst part? Crey's tech support just plain sucks.

Estimated Time to Play: 20 minutes -- 1 mission, small map

Notes: I'll let the mission tell its own story (it does have one), but I'll note now that it is an unintentional but very
effective KILLER. I've toned it down a bit based on feedback. Credit to Ops for the title, which I suspect is the main reason it's catching
attention.

Trying to locate a sailor moon fanfic
Posted by: Werehawk - 04-14-2009, 04:52 AM - Forum: Other People's Fanfiction - Replies (3)

I'm trying to find a sailor moon fanfic in which Usagi does a reset finding herself all the way back at the beginning of the series...In fact it was a
fairly recent fic at that. When I read it there were only 3-4 chapters...And IIRC it may have been in one of the rec threads here...

I can't recall the title or the author of this one and I recall it being in Fanfiction.net.

Hope this rings a bell....

[Art!] I blame ECSNorway for this

Because he mentioned "dedication plaque" in his Belisarius writeup, and that put the bug in my ear. Three fevered hours in Illustrator later, and this is what appeared:

(Play Spot-The-In-Joke in the various credits if you're bored!)

Since I've got these things on my mind, I'm making an offer: If you have an idea for a dedication plaque, post or PM me the relevant data (ship name/data, list of names, motto, etc.) and I will build you a plaque. Limit of two per customer, line forms to the left.

  Yet Another "Grant-Confidence Song" Thread

If you've seen fansubs (or prosubs sometime "soon", fingers crossed) of the anime Rental Magica, you'll recognize this one as the opening theme that had the English lyrics...

Believe in yourself
Be who you want to be...

I will shed no tear, I will face my fear all alone
All the doubts in mind, I will leave behind
Lost in the dark, seek for the light
I hold out my hand into the endless night
To get through the time in strife in my life
I tell myself over to never give in

Feel your heart beat inside you
Don't be afraid
Keep the faith
That's the key to all the doors ahead
Open up your way with the brighter hopes for today
The sun will rise upon your way

Believe in yourself
You're not alone
Believe in your strength
You'll find your way

My weakness inside is something I can't hide from your eyes
So fragile and fair, so much I can bear
Breaking the chain that binds you from pain
Through gentle rain, you're free once again
Searching for truth and love in my life
'Til I find my own I will never give up

[bridge, including something spoken that I can't quite make out and isn't on the lyric sheet]

Listen to the voice of your heart
Deep in your soul
Keep the faith
Let it work a miracle in your life
Never look back on sorrow and let go of your pain
The light of love shines upon your way

Feel your heart beat insode you
Don't be afraid
Keep the faith
That's the key to all the doors ahead
Open up your way with the brighter hopes for today
The sun will rise upon your way

Believe in yourself
You're not alone
Believe in your strength
You'll find your way
