  Cyberman 8 versus Cyberman 9!

Here's something else the mission creator is good for. Setting up fights between your own Heroes and their villainous counterparts. Match-ups that just
can't happen in the regular game.

  New SG: 'The Eleventh Hour'
Posted by: Acyl - 03-25-2009, 10:32 AM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (14)

Standing between humanity and the shadows.

Holding secrets men should not know.

Keeping the innocent in the dark - while defending them from what lurks within it.

The Eleventh Hour

* * *

The Eleventh Hour is a new supergroup on Virtue, spawned by the realization that really...we don't have a dedicated magic group in our circle. The Legendary is modern-age generalist, Riot Force is mercenary/black-ops, Virtue League is four-colour, and so on. But our magic groups are very specific - and magical girl, for the most part.

This is something different.

The Eleventh Hour's headquarters is the Cloaktower. And at its heart is the chamber or artifact known as the Oculus. Depending on who you ask, it is either an incredibly powerful mystical construct that aids in scrying, a living spirit guide in itself - or perhaps it, and the whole building, is what remains of that which was once...something else.

(Or in other words, it's what happens when the three of us shoot ideas for SG names and concepts back and forth, and finally decide to use all of them.)

What we have, then, is a group of magical-inclined individuals. Not necessarily magic users, but perhaps also those with an inclination towards the mystic. Ordinary humans who hunt monsters, perhaps. Or technology users whose devices have a hint of the arcane, as it were.

Researchers, hunters, there's room for all. The three current founders are Trigram (Stormgear), an Asian chi mystic, Spell Storm (DarkSeraphim), a young technomancer, and John Prester (Acyl), an immortal Christian magi.

The Eleventh Hour is built on the 'shadow watchmen' motif, or a noble and benign answer to the Illuminati. Perhaps a mystical Men in Black, if you prefer. Or maybe something akin to the Hellsing organization, or a privately run equivalent to Hellboy's BPRD.

As you can see, we're trying to create something that has a common mythos, and yet can include all character types within the magical theme.

If you're interested - and I hope you are! - ask the three of us for an invite,.

Salutations,

  Fusionette SG needs a name
Posted by: Ransan - 03-25-2009, 07:37 AM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (15)

Well, I have Fusioner at 10 and am ready to start a "Fusionette" SG to get the "'Nettes" our of the full Riot. However, it was stated
to me that as the "'Nettes" are a shared meme, it really should be up to everyone with a 'Nette what to call the SG. Thus far we have the
following suggestions:

The Fusion Corps

Nuclear 90 - Already taken

Fusion Force - Removed, already taken

Crisis of Infinite Fusionettes

Fusion Unlimited

Unlimited Fusion

Total Fusion

If you like one of these or have another suggestion, reply here. I'll make a decision in a week or so.

  I Really Like Playing Kawaiiko-chan

I just love running into people who don't know how to take a bloodthirsty little dominator who's always so chipper and cheery and oh-so-sunshiny-bright
all the time. I especially love the people who can't quite figure out if I'm roleplaying or I really am that
way.

Yes, I had a fun evening tonight with her, how can you tell?

  Riot's Full
Posted by: Acyl - 03-24-2009, 10:04 AM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (14)

I considered making a joke in the thread title, but frankly my brain's fried right now.
As the title indicates, Riot 6.1 is - at the time of writing - full. Unable to invite. Packed solid. I had to remove one of my own characters to invite one of Dren's.
Right, so what to do? Well, as we had to do for the Legendary, I suggest folks exercise some self-control. If there's a lowbie character you're not actively playing...think about taking 'em out. Currently I've got two in Riot 6.1, that's it. I don't begrudge people who have a higher footprint. Certainly not - I love my alts too. But if you're not really playing them, it's probably a good idea to free up space for other people.
Then there's also the possibility of branching to other SGs. Ran and Baseload have founded the Virtue League, a four-colour Avengers and Justice League style group. My two cape-and-tights characters have moved there. I'd like to propose also thinking about forming a separate SG for the Sabres. DarkSeraphim suggested possibly the Fusionettes as well, but I'm hesitant to really back too much branching for fear of overstretch.
Thoughts, suggestions?
