  Saturday Night Double XP ITF
Posted by: OpMegs - 07-19-2008, 07:56 AM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (3)

So, this is essentially what it sounds like.

Laying Rommy and his Romans down hard and getting double duties for it. General timing would be in the evening(late, for me, due to work), but I imagine there
could be multiple runs.

Assuming Lag doesn't bar Cimerora entirely from the game for the weekend. *grin*

  Recommend a web/domain host?
Posted by: Acyl - 07-19-2008, 06:15 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (8)

I'm planning to set up a personal website - you know, the usual; portfolio, resume, and personal projects. Mostly art-related for now. So I'm looking
for a good web hosting service. Can anyone recommend a good company, and one that's pretty user-friendly?

I'm competent with html, shtml, and those aspects of web design. But I'm not too great with FTP clients and the more backend side of the business.

What would be a good service for me? I don't know where to start looking, or how to go about the whole domain name thing.

I have credit cards to pay by, so billing isn't a problem. My budget's low, though; all I'm looking to spare is a few bucks a month.

*waves flag* Help?

Go and see.

If http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/18 ... rth_vader/ is a photoshopped image, it's a good one - the shadows and lighting all match up, and passers-by in the background appear to be noticing the foreground...

Edit: ... and the comments on that page claim it's from I don't have time to look right now, so I'm not making that a hotlink, just in case.

  Test Version of new Website Design
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 07-17-2008, 12:58 AM - Forum: General Chatter - No Replies

I already put a message about this over in the Website area, but it bears repeating here: I have put a live, complete version of my redesigned website up at http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test]%[link=http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test]http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test]. I'd be very grateful if, while I'm off on vacation, people would bang on it and see if bits fall off. Please report any such falling bits in the Website forum thread.

Thanks!

A complete copy of the newly-redesigned website is now available for browsing at http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test]%[link=http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test]http://www.eclipse.net/~rms/test] -- I would greatly appreciate it if people could take the time to click around in it and let me know in this thread if anything breaks.

Thank you!

  Copyright in Europe - "Use it or lose it"
Posted by: robkelk - 07-16-2008, 11:56 PM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (4)

The European Commission has approved an extension of copyright term for music from 50 to 90 years... but if the copyright isn't being used (i.e. the music's just sitting in the company's vault), it can revert to the performer after 51 years.

See http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/16 ... extension/]the story on The Register for details.

  Respec advice, stat!
Posted by: Sofaspud - 07-16-2008, 09:58 PM - Forum: Build Advice - Replies (2)

In preparation for this weekend, I'm going to respec Emerald Blast. I've been wanting to do this for a bit but I'm not a genius when it comes to
this whole enhancement thingy.

So! If I tell y'all what I have (enhancement-wise), and what I want, can you help me with my build? I can figure out my attack set on my own; it's my
heals that I want to shineShineSHINE. I want powerful heals, recycling quickly! I want to rez at the drop of a hat and turn around and do it again! I want
... I want... I WANT IT ALL! Mwuah hah hah.

Ahem. Anyway. So, given that she has the complete Empathy set of powers available, how should they be slotted?

Emmy currently has slotted:

* 2 Numina's Convalescence (5/6 each, no unique)

* 1 Miracle (5/6, no unique)

* 1 Doctored Wounds (5/6, no unique)

* 1 Performance Shifter (4/6, no unique)

* 1 LotG (4/6, no unique)

* A crapload of L50 Heal, End Red, End Mod, Attack Rate, etc. IOs -- toss these into the mix as necessary.

I'd like to keep some slots open for other stuff, so -- unless it's THE ONLY WAY -- please don't suggest builds that six-slot every Empathy power.
Like Rez, for example, or Clear Mind, Adrenalin Boost, Recovery Aura, Regen Aura... those don't cycle fast enough to make a difference, no matter how many
recharge reductions you slot. I can insta-CM (almost) as is, and it's only 2-slotted. My primary concerns are the main heals and buffs -- Healing Aura,
Heal Other, Absorb Pain, Fortitude.

Anyone up to the challenge? I've been fiddling for a couple days with the online planner and... I got nuthin'. [Image: frown.gif]
