Yet Another Tech Help Request Post

My father recently converted to Macs, but has several windows games that he likes to play.

We've been toying with Paralells Desktop since it's the simplest install, and it seems to work mostly-ok.

But we have one problem: It doesn't seem to be able to pass joystick input to the Windows programs.

We have a 2006 iMac with the latest OSX (Tiger?), an a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 USB joystick. OSX recognizes the joystick without a problem, but none
of the Windows programs running under Paralells seems to be able to detect it.

Any suggestions?

Well, midweek for me, since I started this vacation on Friday. Looks like everything is running smoothly here.

Once again, I'm writing from "How You Brewin'" on Long Beach Boulevard in Surf City. (Where there are "two girls for every boy", as
the Beach Boys say, but Peggy is steadfastly refusing to let me complete my set. Meanie. )

So far. beach week has been, well, odd. We're trapped in this strange little microclimate, low 80s, misty and windy, while towns everywhere off the island
are 90s and muggy. Part of that seems to be distant side effects of the hurricane coming up the coast, even though it's well out to sea and unlikely to
come near us. Still, it's good weather for sitting and reading on the deck, and it does get sunny enough here and there that I'll probably end up with
a fair tan.

Oh, and I'm going into COH withdrawal.

Look for me on Saturday night, unless I decide to ramble on in on Thursday or thereabouts.

Or - if you log onto Virtue Server, pick which ONE of your characters you will be leveling up this weekend, and level up ONLY that one. Because if you log off,
you are NOT getting back on to Virtue Server.

Considering that Virtue is where the vast majority of my characters now reside, I am more than a little PISSED OFF at the IDIOTS at NCSoft North.. This is
insane. I repeat - this is INSANE. MORONIC. Their back end can NOT handle this load!

Fuck it. I guess I won't be task forcing, leveling up, or doing any of those nice things that they said I'd be able to do this weekend. At least not
with the characters and on the servers and with the friends I intended.
