It begins.  In the past 36 hours, a U.S. House of Representatives vote on impeachment has moved from likely to inevitable.

Nancy Pelosi has been trying to hold the Democratic caucus together, so that it looked like it was a slow, deliberate path, if any impeachment.  It's not always good for the impeaching party, as Republicans learned in the 1990s.  But as Trump has stopped all cooperation with House investigations, the situation was getting more untenable.  The belief is that Trump would rather have the impeachment fight, so he can have something to run against in 2020.

The inciting event was Republican congressman Justin Amash calling for President Trump's impeachment.  And suddenly, it got really uncomfortable for a whole lot of progressive democrats to be to the "right" of a Republican member on impeachment, when, let's face it, the base is out for blood.  By late afternoon yesterday, it looks like cracks have appeared within the leadership team in the House, with members giving impeachment-adjacent speeches.

There have also been suggestions from Judiciary Committee members that the first impeachments should be Attorney General Barr and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, for withholding evidence from Congress.

Good on them.  Trump's cronies can scream all they like, but this is exactly the sort of "taking back state's rights" that conservatives claim to campaign for.

I'm already fairly committed as far as the powersets for the character go, and the numbers are encouraging, but I also am not terribly imaginative and a lot of the build choices are probably "because I can" and not "because it's better that way". Case in point, Permahasten - I can get up to Perma-Dom without it, but I didn't really have any other plans, so why not? Making a Mid's build is free, and I never got to 50 with the character anyway.

Considering my much reduced playtime and starting resource base, anything that might be done to help keep things reasonable (I don't know the state of the economy in game) would be appreciated. All I really need is good survivability, and I imagine Perma-Dom is the best way to get there.

So how to put this?

I haz ideas... and am not OpMegs or Logan or Bob for that matter. Ideas for character snippets and whatnot relating to CoH/V. 

Would someone mind helping me flesh them out? For example, I just scribbled out a little something to hook into that foundation idea of Acyl... which was already part of my characters backstory but it fits so well goddamit I need to get it out now! 

The issue is... I look at the scribbles and.... its a hot mess. It needs more something. What that something is.... I got no clue. 

Does anyone have a spare five minutes to read and then laugh at this attempt at verbiage?

Welcome to the Relaunch of the Drenivian House of Builds.  Our First client is Terrence Knight who wanted a "Budget" build for a Rad/SS Tanker.  Considering you get 30 merits for a morality mission now (and that is a huge Fuck Yeah) I was able to a bit more reachy in this.  IE the 1 Luck of the Gambler recharge to give you 50% bonus rech.  So for Alpha slotting i would either go with Spiritual (it makes the aborb clicky a 46 second recharge at T4!) or Cardiac (1.32 end/sec with all toggles and sprint on).  I will begin work on the Bells and Whistles version (which will have Superior ATOs and Purples) after you give an appraisal of the powers and such.
