The Oxford Companion to Cheese |

According to http://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/ox ... -1.3915679]this review, there is now an Oxford encyclopedia devoted entirely to cheese. Yes, it has an entry for the Cheese Shop sketch. Yes, it has an entry for cheese-related tattoos. Yes, it has an entry for reindeer's milk cheese. It's an Oxford encyclopedia, so it's encyclopedic turned Up To Eleven.
I think this one's going onto my godua-get-a-copy list.

After much nagging from other staff members on ATT, it's for the best I join this forum so I can engage in the threads relating to ATT and therefore be more productive in terms of contacting those who contribute to ATT.
I apologise if this means I am not that active on other parts of the forums.
I bid you all a warm welcome nonetheless!

Anybody else had their PM's erased or reset to zero ?
I checked my inbox and it's all zero... including a scene from Cobalt I wanted to use for the Melancholy of Mackie Chan and some plot related items.
Wop. Must've been a transfer bug. They're back.

Just got this email from Bob, who asked me to pass it along:
Quote:I, and at least one other user who's emailed me about it, cannot log on to Yuku -- although I can see the boards are active and that others have logged in and are posting, I'm getting a fancy "Sorry, we're down" graphic when I try to log in myself.
I've emailed Yuku support about this -- as I can't log in to post on the support forums -- but given the holiday I'm not expecting a fast turnaround.
-- Bob
If anyone else is having the same trouble, rest assured that steps are being taken ... but probably slowly.

"There's always a price for magic, Dawn, *especially* something
like a resurrection. If it looks like it's free, that just means
the price is hidden because it's more than you'd want to pay.
Any spell *this* powerful that an amateur can cast with only
minimal preparation... it's a trap. It's designed to hook you,
hook your soul, for someone or something that wants it for their
own reasons. You'd be better off summoning a god and offering to
bargain -- at least that way when you find yourself in Hell
you'll know *why*."
"My price? My price is *duty*, and the simple truth that I can
*never* have a normal life. Not when my unguarded touch can
vaporize plastics and rot organics and enchant steel. Not when I
can *never* let my guard down completely around other people --
especially and worst of all my wife. I'll probably never have
children of my own. I'll probably never reconcile with my
parents. I may never even get home to *try.* That's my price,
Dawn. It's paid in sweat, and blood, and *gallons* of tears, and
with every second of my life that ticks away while I search for
the Earth where I was born."
