The view from outside - In re folks who know about Fenspace and "Don't Get It" |

Since Mal's made Fenspace more visible, at least on Spacebattles, we've had a bit more attention from folks outside our little "echo-chamber hugbox."
Some of it's benign, of the "Oh wow, that's neat."
In fact, one of the MLP BROB threads decided to use Handwavium as one of its OCP force multipliers.
But, some folks violently don't get just why the Governments of the world don't use more Handwavium.
Thoughts?

a series of comments:
Warringer:
Actually, mimes are grown rather then made by a machine. They are grown on mime fields...
Prince Charon:
Ugh. That pun is Xanth-worthy (and not from the better books, either).
Huh. I wonder what Xanth fans are doing in Fenspace. I can see the 'wave reacting 'well' to puns
ecs05norway:
Nobody seems to know. They all moved to Florida, and neither Fen nor Danes have heard from them since.
Prince Charon:
Oh. Oh, my.
EdBecerra:
The words "Oh, f*cking crap" seem hopelessly underpowered at that point...
Note to self: If I ever end up in the fen reality, AVOID FLORIDA AT ALL COSTS!
Mal-3:
It's for the best, really. They're in a happier place and far, far away from the rest of us.

poking around in the dark with Beam/Time |

Hey everyone, so I'm starting to reach the end game with (or at least reaching the point where I'm thinking about it)
And I wanted to prompt some feedback to make sure I'm not missing anything. It's my first beam toon as well as my first time toon, So I'm certain I'm doing something wrong.
But due to my playstyle in groups (give me all the agro!) I have a hard time figuring out just how wrong I'm going.
Is there anything where I'm:
[*] sticking too many slots into a power?
[*] neglecting a power far too much?
[*] modifying the wrong effect of a power?
here is the build as I have planned it out:

Ack! Rampaging Plotbunny (take 2) |

(Take 1 was eaten by yuku *grr*)
I had been thinking of how I could get a few of my characters involved with the Serenity Con storyline, made more difficult as their primary craft (The Starhawk) in in the shop getting upgraded around that time). Inspired by my recent trip to GenCon, I decided, well, why don't they just rent a car?
*a small bunny appear*. So, where do they rent from? Answer: Lone Star Rent-A-Vehical (with franchises across the solar system).
*the bunny grows* If I name it Lone Star, they need to have flying Winnebagos available.
*and grows* So where do they get a bunch of Winnebagos from?
******
Lone Star Rent-A-Vehical is owned by a guy calling himself Lorne Star. Possibly an expatriot american forced to flee the anti-wavium laws, he moves to Australia and buys/builds a large carwash like building on the outskirts of, let's Melbourne, wherehe can wave the various cars/vans/ect he buys. But repeated wavium exposure creates a quirk in the building, every 175 days a fully waved Winnebago shows up in the building. He provides one free to each franchise (partly cause he doesn't know what else to do with them all). Of course they also offer a range of cars, vans and trucks for rent as well (also the occasional cabin cruiser or speedboat, rigged with retractable landing gear for hard surfaces)
Possible reasons to use a rental? a) your usual vehical is out of order/in use by someone else, b) you're someone who lives/works on a station and don't need a vehical of your own, c) Need more room than your usual vehical provides, or d) you want to go somewhere incogneto and your usual ride is 'distinctive'/easily recognisable.
