Just what it says on the tin. This is the "core" set of music that kind of defines this Step for me; there are actually at least a dozen more songs that I could include, but really, this should be sufficient. A few of the entries are power songs, the rest are the actual "sound track". Not included: gate songs.
- Pandora's Box, "The Invocation"
- Alabama 3, "Woke Up This Morning (Theme to 'The Sopranos')"
- Manowar, "Call To Arms" *
- Barenaked Ladies, "It's All Been Done"
*
- Donny Osmond ("Mulan" OST), "I'll Make A Man Out Of You"
*
- Huey Lewis and the News, "The Power of Love"
- Debbie Gibson, "Electric Youth"
*
- Vanilla Ninja, "Tough Enough"
- Guns 'n' Roses, "Sweet Child o' Mine"
- Irish Rovers, "Lily The Pink"
*
- Genesis, "Land of Confusion"
- Nickelback "When We Stand Together"
- Heather Alexander, "March of Cambreadth"
*
- Starlight Express (Original Cast Album), "Starlight Express"
*
- E Nomine, "Der Ring Der Nibelungen"
- Pointer Sisters, "Neutron Dance"
*
- Manowar, "Kingdom Come"
*
- Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer, "When I Go"
- Emerson Lake and Palmer, "Jerusalem"
- Prince, "7"
- Fame OST, "I Sing The Body Electric"
- Donny Osmond, "Soldier of Love"
* = Power song for Doug
ETA: I'm looking for a good Starlight Express link. The one I've got here isn't the version I have in MP3, which comes from one of the original cast albums (I can't remember if it was London or New York). Apparently the title song of the show has undergone a lot of rewrites over the years, and I can't find anything on YouTube that sounds remotely like the version I know. (And which Doug uses.) This is the closest I've found during an evening of searching.
ETA2, months later: I can't believe I forgot to include "Sweet Child o' Mine".
ETA3, more months later: Adding a song I recently discovered and just realized was perfect for the Step, Nickelback's "When We Stand Together".
ETA4: Three and a half years after original post: I found a better version of "Starlight Express". It's still not the version I have in MP3, but at least it has the same lyrics and structure except for the last two lines. It's just... well, it's sung by an Italian tenor, which makes it sound a little ... odd to my ear.ETA4.5: And when I posted that, I saw that the Nickelback link was broken. So I fixed it.

We're well overdue for one of these, and I figured people deserved to know where things currently stand.
DW5, chapter 7: Chris and I were about to go back to work on this just before the holiday season, but personal issues came up once more for him, scuttling that. I've recently decided to go ahead as we've got everything well plotted out, and write what the muse inspires me to. When Chris' life lets up on him, I'll hand off what I have complete at that point to him for his approval. I really want to get this one off my plate after all these years, because so many other projects are chomping at the bit.
DW13, chapter 2: Helen and I have this laid out very carefully, down to who will write which scenes, but she's come down with a case of writer's block. I could shoot ahead and write all my scenes all the way to the end of the chapter, but too much of them really depend on the stuff she's going to do. So this one's currently on "pause".
Other: DW8 (Harry Potter) and DW-S (Sailor Moon) have both been demanding brainshare recently, and have had new material written. And I've started writing the new prologue for DW-1

Let's add some scary painted faces, big floppy shoes, and neon wigs to the fight, shall we?
Quote:Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Me here at last on the ground,
You in mid-air.
Send in the clowns.
Isn't it bliss?
Don't you approve?
One who keeps tearing around,
One who can't move.
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns.
Just when I'd stopped
Opening doors,
Finally knowing
The one that I wanted was yours,
Making my entrance again
With my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there.
Don't you love farce?
My fault, I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want -
Sorry, my dear.
But where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.
Quick, send in the clowns.
What a surprise.
Who could foresee
I'd come to feel about you
What you'd felt about me?
Why only now when i see
That you'd drifted away?
What a surprise.
What a cliché.
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this late
In my career?
And where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother - they're here.
Or maybe not. ...

For a certain definition, that is. I was on my bicycle this morning and was hit by a truck. However, there is currently no evidence of broken bones or such, just a knee sprain and contusions down my right leg.
Going 27 years without a bone fracture! Yay, me!

After some haggling about getting a ship build as close as possible to original OV-100 specs, the Space Histroy Reenactment Group quickly came to the conclusion that it was hard to realize. So they settled into getting an OV-200 with some custom additions.
== Known Quirks ==
* ''Good Morning Starshine II:'' The Class Quirk for this model ship. Similar to the class quirk displayed by the [[Three Graces], the OV-200 Orbiters need music played at the beginning of each workday in order to function at peak efficiency. Unlike the Graces, the same song ''can'' be reused (no more than three times in a row per any given month), but each Orbiter needs a distinct ''genre'' of music played for the best possible effect. ''Pathfinder'' likes music from the later 50s and early 60s.
* ''Docking is a go:'' ''Pathfinder'' is not able to land in any hangar that is not on a planet. Instead she can only dock using the International Docking Standard connector.
* ''Gusmobile:'' Many people who visit the Pathfinder will bang their heads somewhere more then once during their stay, even through all decks are of normal height.
* ''What happens in Vegas...'' The ships AI, modeled after Gus Grissom of the original Mercury Seven, has an unhealthy facination with 'CSI'.
