So I'm not sure if people have noticed or not but I have been gone for little over a week. In the process of moving, but I just got internet accsess at my new place.

ACYL SEZ: BUILD IN FIRST POST IS OLD! - thread updated with i19 build, scroll down for that.
Posted at Unicorna's request, for comparison and review purposes. Hope this helps.
Leading Lady is a Inv/EM tank built primarily to soft-cap defenses. An Inv tank can get pretty good defense numbers based purely on Invincibility, but LL is designed to do push it as far as it can go. She runs Weave and Hover at all times, and has 18% in Smashing/Lethal defense bonuses (12.4% to Energy/Negative/Fire/Cold). This puts her pretty close to cap for S/L with just one enemy in Invincibility range. Also, a lot of the set bonuses come from fully slotting the passive resistances in the Inv set, which many tanks ignore. This means she's got full resistances for an Inv tank as well, in addition to the defenses. Finally, building for defense set bonuses means that she has some positional defense left over, which does give at least a thin veneer against positional psionic damage.
It's possible to save a few slots here and there - from the attacks and Invincibility - and fully slot out Build Up with Gaussian's or something as an alternative way of earning defense, but frankly I'd much rather have the slots elsewhere.
The build is relatively cheap. I say relatively - it does not use purples or PvP sets, but some of the sets and uniques may be costly. The key Kinetic Combat and Reactive Armor were pretty pricey at one point. I'm not sure how much the Zephyr pieces are now after the nerf. You could probably drop all the Luck of the Gambler bits as well, if cost is a concern - I like having the sizable chunk of global recharge for Energy Transfer and Total Focus, but it's not essential.
Ignore the enhancement levels in Mids. I don't use level 50 IOs as a general rule; most of mine are pegged around level 30-40 for exemplar reasons.
Note that a serious weakness in this build is the lack of AoE damage. However the basic build plan would work equally as well for any tanker damage set. With EM though...between the global recharge and attack slotting, it does have quite good single-target damage for a tank.
Leading Lady's built to perma-hover because she's a Superman/Supergirl-type flying brick. For any other concept, I'd substitute combat jumping or something, or just drop the travel power entirely and do something else with those slots. After the nerf to Zephyr they don't really contribute much numerically anyway.

| Tech Request - Document Management System |

I've been asked to set up a Document Management System (DMS) at work. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good one?
Requirements:
Freeware, with a licence that allows free use in a corporate or government environment. (I have no budget to implement the DMS.)
No maximum number of documents.
Password protection of particular documents, with each user having a unique UserID/password.
Ability to automatically update mirrors on removable media.
Runs on either Linux or Windows - I can't use a Mac-specific or mainframe solution.
Preferences: (not necessary, but would be nice)
Web interface (so the users don't need to telnet into the server to access the DMS).
Apache interface (so the documents can be displayed in a web browser).
Which solutions should I look at? Which should I avoid because they don't work?

Someone has far, far too much time on their hands. Link.
Not just the timeline deciphering, that's fairly normal LOZ fan geekery. I've indulged in the same. But taking the time to arrange all the notes so it looks like a blackboard? I'm not sure whether to be scared or impressed.

This blog is awesome! When I become a parent, I'm going to be all for letting my kids run around like they ought to; mentally ingrained with all the basic safety precautions, but free to more or less come and go as they please. I have plenty of fond memories of going outside for hours on end and coming home filthy but happy.
Although, the idea of giving your kids a cell phone that is strictly for emergencies strikes me as a good idea. Oughta be right up there with bicycle helmets.

So, last night Avast! comes up with a detected threat that it cleaned up.
I tell it to quick scan, and it finds a couple registry entries related to it too, as well as another file.
I immediately freaking PANIC, and start scanning the crap out of my computer, a process I continued this morning.
Avast! Full scan with *everything* on max
MSE Full scan
Windows Defender Full scan
Malwarebytes full scan.
According to all of these, my computer is clean. Nothing to worry about.
Yet I'm still freaking out.
Someone help talk me down, here.

| [META] Stations at the L5 Point |

I think the L5 All-Stations insignia pretty much hints that there are at least five stations at the Earth-Luna L5 point (if not more), but we've only established two of them so far. This thread is for suggestions as to who's in the other stations. (I've come up with every scrap of data about the stations in the L5 point, excepting the physical layout of Stellvia; it's long past time to share this corner of the sandbox.)
That logo has five stars on it - one each in orange, white, yellow, green, and blue. Orange is Stellvia with its orange insignia, and white is New Yavin with its Alliance-Clonetrooper white-clad Warsie troops. That leaves three stars for three stations...
Before asking "Who's there?", perhaps we should ask "Who's not there?" If the Trekkies had a station at L5, somebody would have mentioned it by now - instead, we've established that they've got starbases at Mars and AlphaCen. Babylon .5 is in Earth orbit, not at the L5 point. And the Jossies are out in the Jovian subsystem. (Then again, the Warsies are out on Mimas, and they've got New Yavin at L5, so this last one isn't a show-stopper.)
One thought: The blue star is for the Abriel, the Ahb home base. I can imagine a few folks biomodding themselves into Ahb, and the resulting 360-degree spatial sense would make them natural astroball players. I don't know enough about Crest/Banner of the Stars to go into detail here, though...
Any ideas for the yellow and green stars, or for expanding the Abriel description?
