(Somewhat choppy on my current connection, but that may be because thy're still relatively new and the server's under stress...)

Wheatley looks like an ... interesting ... character.

  Trailer for Weird Al Biopic
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 07-02-2010, 02:20 PM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (1)

Well, okay, a bogus trailer.  I don't remember if I mentioned it beforehand, but on Sunday Peggy and I saw Weird Al Yankovic live at the Imperial Theatre in Asbury Park.  (About a block from Madam Marie's and two blocks from the Stone Pony, for all you Springsteen fans.)  If you've ever seen Weird Al perform, you'll know that he punctuates the live performances with an eclectic collection of video footage, including AL-TV and Weird Al Show segments, clips of references to him or his appearances in various movies and TV shows, and chunks of his videos, among other things.
Anyway, this short film was among the stuff that appeared during one of those video segments.  What's amazing is the cast that was assembled to make it... and check out the cameo Weird Al himself made.  I'd love to embed it, but it's got embedding disabled.

  Who watches the Watchmen?
Posted by: Star Ranger4 - 07-02-2010, 10:56 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (13)

I did, at like 10 at night.  Big mistake...  first of course being the sheer length of the movie.
Worst?  its 2am here on the west coast and now I cant bloody sleep cause I keep thinking about it.  Not just about the comparisons between the graphic novel (which my nephew got me for christmas...  last year? or the year before?  the holidays after it was in theatres, anyway) but more than a few of the underlying themes there.
about my only comment at this stage as I'm pondering, and not sleeping is that the sex scene could totally have been implied and not shown on screen.  Not that doing so would have saved it from an R rating with all the other language and elements in the film.
the other?  its gonna be a looooooong oh dark hundreds.  And an even longer day to follow.
Better go make myself some coffee...

Geneon returns - Hellsing OAV, Fate STAY/Night: Unlimited Blade works, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, Black Lagoon s3
Bandai - Haruhi s2, Haruhi movie, K-ON! (*edit* Just s1, but they said if it does well and they can get it, s2). Main VA cast for K-ON announced, I only know Christiana Vee is Mio (she was Haruhi in the ASOS videos) and they are doing a US band, similar to the ASOS Brigade they did for Haruhi

Legendary - Long time no see
Posted by: Logan Darklighter - 06-29-2010, 09:57 PM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (9)

I was just going through the list in-game and noticed the following...

That's a lot of people who have not logged in in a LONG time.
I'm considering a cut-off of either 300 or 400 days. I mean, if you haven't logged that character in in that amount of time, either the character has become forgotten or your account is expired.
In any case - the worst offenders up there don't look like they're coming back at all. Anything past 600 days is definitely getting the boot.
So - any feedback on what the cut-off should be before we start removing characters? 300 days? 400? Some other number?

BU-33CTP is both it's ID and model code from Genom. Custom built for a small multi-dimensional tech firm as both a lunchroom amusement and a testbed for a prototype trans-dimensional communication device. BU's combat "hardsuit" is also a testbed for their close-quarters combat systems. Outside of the hardsuit BU-33CTP external appearance resembles that of a typical catgirl, mostly due to being easier to disguise the antennas the TDCU requires in covert-mode as cat ears for anything else would be more memorable.

The local rep in charge a "Shadow Cyclops" has yet to report back on any developments with project:TDCTP. Apparently this is due to being stuck on a different shard of Earth-CoX.
