blackaeronaut Wrote:(IIRC, Ben Hutchins insists what he does isn't fanfic) don't leave much to be discussed between releases.
Errr... not so much, especially considering that if you go to the eyrie home page the subtext under the big griffin reads: 'The Internet's most reasonably priced fanfiction since 1991!

Don't look at me to take over that story - fight scenes are my weak point!

"Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose
them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of
the same sovereign, servants of the same law."

Oh, c'mon Bob! Don't take it as intimidation! Take it as inspiration! Big Grin
Hell, you should hear about some of the fight-scene ideas I have for when Zeke and Rei combine their powers: air + fire = bigger, hotter fire.

Loved the update, ATC. Now I'm gonna repost what I said at Spacebattles:
Quote:Can't wait to see the resolution, ATC. The let-down and fall-out is
going to be interesting to see. On the one hand they are going to be a
lot more capable now that they've undergone a paradigm shift. On the
other, we will need to see if they have been paralyzed by the thought
that people got hurt in the collateral damage caused by their battle and
the fear of that happening again.

I can only imagine the reaction that Artemis is going to have when he sees the news about this.
Don't forget: Sailor V isn't around for the party just yet.  She is going to be so horribly outclassed by the time Walker gets done with the others.  (^_^)
Marvelously written fight scene...I keep thinking of the Metal Gear Solid 3 Main theme in the fight

The end there reminds me of a Pink Floyd song.
Pink Floyd Wrote:The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset
Could be the human race is run

Like the moment when the brakes lock
And you slide towards the big truck
(Oh, no!)
You stretch the frozen moments with your fear

And you'll never hear their voices
(Daddy, daddy!)
And you'll never see their faces
You have no recourse to the law any more

- from "Two Suns in the Sunset", by Pink Floyd from the album The Final Cut

I'd like to say how refreshing it is to see a story where a creator respects weaponry. Not in the "this is awesomely destructive" sense, but rather "this is a weapon and if I don't handle it properly someone WILL die". It's something nice to see in this age of media-glorified gun fights written by people who haven't the faintest idea how to correctly handle firearms.

As for the latest chapter, that was a VERY well done extended fight scene. I especially like how much of a role the environment played in the proceedings.

But you've also done something else that I think has great importance to the long-term of this (now greatly) altered version of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. In terms of it's impact on the city and its inhabitants this firefight is a hell of a lot more overt than any of the other skirmishes the Senshi had gotten into up to this point, which means a much larger investigation into what the heck happened. Especially when scientists discover that the center of the explosion is radioactive: that's going a raise a whole host of concerned eyebrows. And considering their involvement, I wonder how favorably the authorities are going to react to the Senshi from here on out.

Thanks, but no. I mean, I have my own plans for boosting the girls, but... damn.

(I also suspect that our unnamed protagonist is not going have nearly the impact on the Dark Kingdom as a whole as Doug will; unless you surprise me greatly, I suspect that I'll outdo you there. So it's okay, really. It's just, that was serious whoooooa territory.)

And before I forget, I'm entering the 311th message in this thread. Please start another to continue discussion of this seriously kick-ass story.
